Conglomerate merger
a firm that has at least four businesses, each making unrelated products, none of which is responsible for a majority of its sales, One firm combines with another firm in a different industry, such as a merger between a plastics maker and an electronics firm
Multinational corporation
a corporation that has manufacturing or service operations in a number of different countries, a large corporation that produces and sells its goods and services throughout the world
