General goals to be addressed:
Providing the client with necessary info about the role of the agency, available services, and client responsibilities

Primary interest to RC is information regarding client’s abilities to fulfill various types of vocational demands
Significant part of diagnostic database essential for development of tx plan (IPE for VR and IWRP for IL)

Predictive statements regarding behavior in situations
Vocational Evaluation
The purpose is to assess client’s vocational aptitudes, interests, and behaviors in order to determine potential employment goals and services needed to achieve these goals
Psychometric Testing
Used when eligibility for services cannot be demonstrated in other ways and RC believes this would facilitate plan development
Work Sample Analysis
actual performance of real or simulated job tasks is preferred over psychometric testing (time constraints as well)
Functional Job Analysis
Used when the RC needs to gather info about a particular job
Vocational Interviewing
Used when the info needed can be gathered directly form the client or their guardians
Situational Assessment
Used when the performance of real or simulated work tasks is preferred to psychometric testing and time and cost are a factor
Learning Style Assessment
Used to identify factors inhibiting a person’s ability to learn certain types of material (when a person wants to learn about his or her preferred learning style)
